Juana is a hard-working and enthusiastic woman. She lives in the city of Camaná, which is famous for its exquisite shrimp, its mollusks, and the charm of its people, who always offer their traditional rolls, cakes, and sweets. This area is the world's leading producer of rice per hectare, and rice is produced in great quantities. Included in so much production is Tacuari rice, which has come to be the best and most delicious rice. In addition to producing the best rice, it also has the most delicious beans. Its beaches are the most extensive and cleanest in the southern part of the country. Scientists say that they are the most beautiful beaches of the south, and the area would have a great future at a national level.

Juana lives with her husband, who works for a security service, with which he supports the household expenses. She also lives with her three children who are adults. As a good Peruvian, she very much likes the (Peruvian) food, and one of her favorite dishes is rice with duck.

Juan works in the grocery business in her little shop. She also has a few knitting products (since she likes to knit in her spare time). She works about 10 hours a day. She feels that her business is going well for her because she has a lot of variety of products and she serves her customers in a kind manner.

Juana is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, since thanks to their support she will be able to buy merchandise for the school season, which will permit her to have a greater variety of products to offer and to increase her income and her quality of life. Thus she will continue working to accomplish her greatest dream: to help with the education of her grandchildren.

Juana es una mujer muy luchadora y entusiasta, vive en la ciudad de Camaná, ciudad que se caracteriza por sus Famoso por sus exquisitos camarones, sus machas y el encanto de sus pobladores que siempre ofrecen sus tradicionales bollos, alfajores y oquendos; Es el primer productor en el mundo de arroz por hectárea, por grandes cantidades, entre tanta producción se encuentra el arroz Tacuarí, que viene a ser el mejor y más rico arroz. Además de producir el mejor arroz, también tiene el más rico frejol; sus playas son las más extensas y más limpias del Sur del país. Los científicos dicen que son las playas más hermosas del sur y que tendría un gran futuro a nivel nacional, vive junto a su esposo el cual se dedica a dar servicio de vigilancia, con lo cual aporta con los gastos del hogar; así también vive con sus 3 hijos los cuales son mayores de edad; como buena peruana le gusta mucho la comida y uno de sus platillos favoritos es el Arroz con Pato”.

Juana trabaja en su negocio de venta de abarrotes en su pequeña bodega, así como también algunos productos de tejido (ya que a ella le gusta tejer en sus tiempos libres); le dedica a su trabajo alrededor de 10 horas diarias, ella cree que le va bien en su negocio porque tiene mucha variedad de productos y atiende de manera amable a sus clientes.

Juana está muy agradecida con los prestatarios Kiva ya que gracias a su apoyo ella podrá comprar mercadería de Temporada escolar; lo que le permitirá tener mayor variedad de productos para ofrecer y mejorar sus ingresos y su calidad de vida, asi seguirá trabajando para cumplir su más grande sueño:” Ayudar en la educación de sus nietos”.
