Nana is 49 years-old. She lives in the village of Zikilia, South Georgia with her family including her husband Amiran, her 21 year-old son, and father-in-law (retired). Amiran is a joiner and has a small workshop, where he produces various wooden products. Nana and her son are running family agricultural business. They have two milking cows. Nana produces cheese. The family also has one hectare of agricultural land, where potatoes and haricots are grown. Nana sells haricots, potatoes, and cheese on local market. Total average monthly income of the family is 510 Laris, including the pension of Nana’s father-in-law.
Nana requested credit for purchasing seeds of potatoes. After sowing quality potatoes, Nana will receive quality harvest in summer, and will sell it for a convenient price. She will use the received income for purchasing household goods to improve family living conditions.
