Rania is a 34-year-old Lebanese married woman. She lives with her husband and two children, who are both studying. She cooperates with her husband to better support her family. Rania started her own job at an early age; she opened her own beauty salon in 2007. She has her loyal customers, and is glad with the results she has attained so far. Today, she’s looking to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase more beauty products and cosmetics for her salon. In this way, she hopes to please her customers, and to be able to work better. In the future, she plans to open a new laser area.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
