Rath, 30, is married. She resides with her husband and three school-age children in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. She and her husband have been involved in the agricultural business for over five years, earning approximately USD $4 per day. Additionally, she runs the business of buying chickens to resell at the market to generate extra income for the family, approximately $13 per day.
Due to the difficulty in the family’s transportation, Rath is requesting a loan of $1,200 to purchase a motorbike for commuting as well as carrying chickens to sell at the market. This purchase would enable her to carry more chickens to sell and generate more profit to support the family.
In the future, she would like to use the extra profit to expand her business and help her children get bachelor's degrees.
