Santa Isabel Group
In this Group: Araceli , Blanca Elodia , Liliana Ivon , Maria De Jesus , Maria Irene , Noemi
The 'Santa Isabel' group is made up of six entrepreneurial women. They decided to give their group this name because they all live in the area of the same name.

One of the group's members is 41-year-old Noemi who is married and has three children (18, 13 and 9) who are all studying. Her business is selling candied apples, sweets and chocolates. She started out in this business three years ago as her husband was suffering health problems. She managed to make enough income to support her household and become the pillar of her family. However, one of her children also suffered health problems and she needed to buy more medicines.

Noemi's dream is to sell a lot of merchandise so that she can rent premises in which to better establish her business. She would also like to market her business (she currently doesn't have any publicity) and become known in other states. With her goal achieved, she will be able to guarantee her family's future and provide her children with an education.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
