Chan, 60, is a widower and resides with two children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. He is a construction worker and earns approximately USD $3 per day. His two children are employed in the garment factory. Approximately, they earn USD $7 per day.
Since he is a bit older, he wants to change his career. With this goal in mind, Chan is requesting a loan of $500 to run another business by purchasing a motorbike for carrying brooms to sell. The brooms are bought from the villagers. In the future, he would like to expand his business and build a new wooden house.
