Soeurn, 49, is married and resides with her husband and five children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia.
She has been selling groceries for over ten years, earning approximately USD 3 per day. Her husband is a construction worker and earns approximately USD 3 per day. Three of her children are employed in the garment factory. They earn about USD 9 per day.
In order to improve her family’s livelihood, Soeurn is requesting a loan of USD 1000 to purchase more groceries to sell, in order to generate extra profit for the family.
In the future, she would like to use the extra profit to expand her business and help her children get bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it bigger and stronger to provide better living conditions for her family.
