Anasthasie, age 45, is married to one Evariste, and they have three children, who all attend school and whom they have to support. Anasthasie lives together with her husband and children.

The couple ensures together that the various household expenses are covered. Anasthasie dropped out of elementary school.

In order to cover her various expenses, she's been selling food products (rice, canned food) and liquors in her neighborhood for about ten years. She gets her supplies in Togo and Benin.

In order to bolster her business, Anasthasie, together with the other members of the group, is seeking a third loan from Kiva's partner, ALIDé, in order to increase her revenue. Her previous two loans were repaid without problems.

MEDEDJIGBE est un groupe de trois personnes, dont les membres vivent dans le même quartier. La représentante du groupe, Anasthasie (dont la main est levée sur la photo), est âgée de 45 ans. Anasthasie est mariée à un certain Evariste. Le couple a trois enfants tous scolarisés et à leur charge. Anasthasie vit ensemble avec son mari et ses enfants. Le couple assure ensemble les diverses charges de la maison. Anasthasie a arrêté l'école au niveau primaire. Pour faire face à ses différentes charges, Anasthasie vend depuis une dizaine d’année, des produits vivriers (riz, conserves) et des liqueurs dans son quartier. Anasthasie s’approvisionne au Togo et au Bénin. Dans le but de renforcer son activité, Anasthasie sollicite ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe MEDEDJIGBE, un troisième crédit auprès de ALIDé en vue d’accroitre son chiffre d’affaire. Les deux crédits passés dont Anasthasie avait bénéficié ont été bien remboursés.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients. This is a Group Loan
