Sixta
View original language description ↓
Sixta Dávila is 50 years old and lives in the Laureles Sur area with her life partner and three children, ages 5,8 and 18. Her partner is a merchant and currently sells hens at the markets. She helps with the household expenses by making tortillas by hand and preparing beans which she sells for breakfast, lunch and dinner out of her home. There is such a great demand for her tortillas that she practically spends the entire day in front of the burner making tortillas and selling them hot. For the past five years this business has helped with the family's finances, mainly to cover school costs for the children. Sixta hopes that in the future she can open a small general store where she can sell other basic products consumed by the residents of her neighborhood.

They have been able to improve their modest home with a lot of hard work and effort. The loan they are asking for will be used to buy four doors so that they can give their children a more secure and prettier house.
