A loan of $3,400 helped a member to buy thread and needles for her knitting activity.

Las Tejedoras De Ñanduti 2 Group's story

The women of "Las tejedoras de ñandutí 2" Group (the ñandutí knitters) are hard-working people and very grateful to the microfinance institution Fundación Paraguaya for their loan facility, because it enables them to have access to credit and invest in their business or launch a new commercial activity.

The president of the group is Señora Blanca, who lives with her husband and children and knits ñandutí, a traditional embroidered lace of Paraguay. She and her fellow group members are constantly working to promote the integration of the group members and try to collect in advance the money to pay off their loan.

Blanca applies for this loan to buy thread and needles, which she needs to continue knitting ñandutí laces in order to financially support her family.

In this group: Blanca, Gidolina, Basilia, Gladys, Maria, Marciana, Beatriz, Olga, Ninfa, Rafaela, Claudelina, Rosalva, Elena, Silvia, Maria
