Plan De Lucha 3 Group
In this Group: Claritza, Silverio, Belkis, Solanyi, Luis
Claritza is one of the members of the Plan de Lucha (Battle Plan) Group 3, located in the city of Hato Mayor, a primarily agricultural region. It is one of the most rural cities in the Dominican Republic. Her primary activity is selling underwear. Claritza is the mother of two children, who live with her and her father. She tells us that her biggest challenge has been working to help her children get ahead. Her favorite activity is tending to her business.

Claritza is very excited to receive her fifth loan through Esperanza Internacional, after having successfully repaid her previous loan. This was a step toward making her business grow. She has had her business for about four years. She started it with a small amount of savings and with her initiative to generate income and be useful.

Claritza plans to invest this new loan by purchasing underwear for men and women; she is planning to start selling them in wholesale quantities. She plans to use her earnings to reinvest in her business and save. Her dream is to have a well-established business. She thanks all of you for your support!!!

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
