Eva is from Lower Tiparak, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur. She is 33 years old, married, and has 2 children. To make a living, she owns & operates a recycled materials business venture. She has been engaged in her business for 10 years and earns about 10,000 PHP a month for these activities.
In 2008, Eva joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. She is requesting a new loan of 30,000 PHP which will be used to purchase equipment to improve the business. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
