Mohammad is a 33-year-old married man who lives with his wife and one child. He’s the only one responsible for his family and he wants to offer them a better future.
Mohammad opened a fishery 10 years ago, and he’s satisfied with the results he has attained so far. His wife has also been working as a babysitter since 2009.
Today, Mohammad’s requesting a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to renovate and enlarge his fishery. He says that this will allow him serve a wider range of people and increase his revenues. In the future, Mohammad plans to open his own seafood restaurant.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
