Shem is a 42-year-old man from Vihiga County, situated in the western part of Kenya. He is married to Irene and they have five school-going children.
Shem has been operating a poultry business for the last 15 years. The business gives him a monthly income of KES 15,400. He is taking his fifth loan of KES 50,000 from KADET LTD, which he will use to buy poultry feed and other poultry stock. He will use the profits to provide for his family (e.g. food and school fees).
His dream is to improve his family's living standards.
