Ranya is a conservative person who prefers not to have her photo published online, so her husband Nihad appears in her Kiva profile photo, photographed in his metal shop.
Ranya is 31 years old and a mother with three sons and three daughters. Her husband has a car wash which earns a low income - not enough to cover the family's needs. For the past 5 years, Ranya's husband has also been working in buying, recycling and then selling scrap metal, which has been a profitable project and contributes to protect the environment.
Ranya is requesting a loan of 3,000 USD from FATEN to help her husband cover the costs of purchasing bulk scrap metal in order to recycle and resell. This will increase sales and improve the family's income.
