Update on Roxana PatriciaRoxana a single mother with one son. She is 29 years old and has her own house where she lives with her young son. Her house is located in a rural hamlet called Pedregal Bajo, which belongs to Tambogrande district in the province of Piura. Because it is a small hamlet still on the road to development, it only has basic services (electricity) for now.
Since she was very small, Roxana has been raising sheep. She travels through the surrounding hamlets in order to sell them at the best price. She also helps her economic situation by working in agriculture. She has three hectares of farmland where she grows lemons and mangoes. She gives them proper maintenance and harvests the fruit once per week.
Despite her young age, Roxana has clearly defined goals. Currently, she would like to increase her profitability by improving both the quality of her fruit harvests and the diet of her sheep. She wants to purchase fertilizers and balanced animal feed in order to meet her goals and thereby improve her son's quality of life. In particular, she wants to find better educational opportunities for him. Therefore, she is requesting a loan from Edpyme Alternativa in the amount of 2,000 nuevos soles, with which she can obtain what she needs.
Roxana is highly regarded and respected as a hard working woman who is dedicated to her family.

Concurrent and Successive Loans
Our Field Partners often work with borrowers over a series of loans as the borrowers build credit, take out bigger loans, and expand their businesses. In order to make it easier for our Field Partners to post loans for borrowers who have been listed on Kiva before, we allow them to post successive and concurrent loans for their Kiva borrowers. This means that our Field Partners are able to post a borrower's second, third, etc., loan on Kiva without having to re-enter all of the borrower's information.
This borrower has been listed on Kiva before, so you'll see an updated loan description, as well as excerpts of the original descriptions from earlier loans. Most borrowers take out loans consecutively, meaning that they receive a second loan after having repaid the first. However, sometimes our Field Partners give out concurrent loans, allowing borrowers to take out one primary loan and a secondary "add-on" loan along with it. These "add-on" loans are typically smaller than the borrower's primary loan and serve a different purpose. Because Field Partners can now post loans as successive and concurrent loans, you will be able to track borrower progress over time and see the various ways a borrower is working with our Field Partners through funds from Kiva’s lenders.
