Uyen was born in 1978 and has two children who are school-aged. Her business which focuses on selling rice in the local market started two years ago and also raises pigs for meat. Joining in our program in 2008, she used loans for expanding her business. Currently, she wants to have a loan of 9,810,000 VND for buying raw rice and buying food for pigs and also baby pigs .
The Center of Small Enterprise Development Assistance (SEDA) is a non-profit organization whose vision is to create “a society without poverty.” Founded in 2004, SEDA provides microfinance services to low-income and disadvantaged people in rural areas of Hanoi and the northern provinces of Vietnam through its Binh Minh Micro-Finance Program.
