The Las Autenticas Communal Group will begin its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer [Pro Woman], as a part of the Villa Adela focal center. Eight women make up its membership, and it is run by a director’s board headed by María del Carmen. The communal group’s members run a variety of businesses, among them are: tomato sales, neighborhood store, video sales, cosmetics sales, food sales, and tennis shoe repairs.

María del Carmen says this is the first time she has worked with Pro Mujer, and that she became a member of the institution as a result of her friends’ invitation. Currently, she has a business selling vegetables, which she has been doing for some time, and which she learned from her mother.

The loan that she will receive is to increase her capital (to purchase vegetables), which she will acquire from wholesalers and later sell at her vegetable stand. This method of working will allow her generate income since she is single and has four children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responds that she likes the health center, the education opportunities, and the savings.

La A.C. “LAS AUTENTICAS” iniciará su primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del centro focal Villa Adela, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva encabezada por la señora María del Carmen. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos tenemos: venta de tomates, tienda de barrio, venta de videos, venta de cosméticos, venta de comida, costura de deportivos.

La señora María del Carmen, indica que es la primera vez que trabaja en Pro Mujer y que integro la institución por invitación de sus amigas. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de verduras que viene trabajando hace algún tiempo, el mismo que aprendió de su madre.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para aumentar su capital (compra de verduras) que adquirirá de las mayoristas y posteriormente lo comercializará en su puesto de comercialización. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos pues ella es soltera y tiene cuatro hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el área de salud, la capacitación y los ahorros.
