Mrs Im S., 49, is a housewife and raises pigs, making on average $1.50 a day. Her husband supports the family by working as a logger, making about one dollar a day. The couple has seven children. Three children are married and live outside the family home; three others work in a garment factory in Phnom Penh earning $70 a month; the last child is a student.
The loan will be used to purchase more small pigs to breed.
