Miguel
Miguel is 42 years old and lives in Villa Carrasco, on the road from Cochabamba to Santa Cruz, in the town of Chimoré, in the city of Cochabamba. He is married to Leandra and has four children. He has been working as a farmer on his own land for more than 20 years. Miguel grows rice, cassava and other fruits that change according to the season.

Miguel is a very hard-working person and he has been gaining agricultural knowledge since he was very young. Over time, he managed to save up some money which he planned to use to buy a plot of land in the city on which to build a house to leave as an inheritance for his children. Unfortunately, he suffered a burglary at his home. This situation discouraged him and he lost his eagerness to achieve better comforts for his family. His wife suggested that she would help him and started working selling new clothing from street to street. At first sales were good but her working capital was very low. Miguel is requesting a loan so that his wife can have good capital with which to work. This will enable her to contribute to the family income. Miguel says that every time somebody loses one thing, they find another or perhaps a situation that is even better than the previous one. This loan will enable Leandra to increase her business selling clothing and contribute toward the household expenses.
