Chu is forty-six years old with four grown-up children. She is a farmer, and focuses on raising pigs and growing rice. When she finishes working in the field, she provides a rice-making machine service for the farmers in her village.
Having joined our credit programme in 2007, she has used her loans to raise pigs. She is asking for this loan of 9,184,000 VND to buy raw rice to meet her customers' demand and also partly for pig food.
The Center of Small Enterprise Development Assistance (SEDA) is a non-profit organization whose vision is to create “a society without poverty.” Founded in 2004, SEDA provides microfinance services to low-income and disadvantaged people in rural areas of Hanoi and the northern provinces of Vietnam through its Binh Minh Micro-Finance Program.
