Methew is a 40-year-old businessman who lives in Juba. He is married and has eight children between the ages of three and 20, seven of whom go to school.
Methew runs a roofing poles business and has been in the business for 10 years. He has two employees. Methew heard about Finance Sudan through outreach and promotion done in the market by the Finance Sudan officer. He is taking out a loan of 4,000 SDG to purchase more roofing poles. Methew has no source of income other than this business.
In five years' time, Methew hopes to add the supply of timber to his business.
His major challenges include home expenses as he is the only one to support the family.
Methew says that he is happy about Finance Sudan’s support in his motherland and it has made him think positively about the idea of adding timber.
