Maria tiene 50 años de edad y es casada y fruto de esta unión tiene cinco hijos, ella nació en el asentamiento Urbano de Cotowincho del distrito de Urubamba de la provincia de Urubamba del departamento del Cusco y vive en la misma ciudad donde nació. María se dedica a la venta de comida y tiene un pequeño restaurante en la entrada del asentamiento humano Cotowincho, ella prepara diferentes tipos de platos de comida como por ejemplo menú familiar, comida tipas de la región y otros. En esta oportunidad María requiere el préstamo para comprar productos al por mayor pues no le sale a cuenta que comprar por pequeñas cantidad entonces va comprar sacos de arroz, bidones de aceite y sacos de azúcar.

El banco comunal “Munay Tika” está conformado por personas responsables y trabajadores que sacan adelante a su familia. La mayoría de los socios viven en la provincia de Urubamba del departamento del Cusco y donde realizan sus actividades económicas.

El departamento del Cusco es conocido por ser una zona muy turística, comercial, por su fiesta tradicional del Inti Raymi y porque se encuentra una de las siete maravillas del mundo “Machupicchu”.
