Avtandil is from the village Akhalsheni, West Georgia. He is 23 years old, unmarried, and lives with his parents. His mother is a housewife. His father works as a barber in the village. Avtandil is leading the agricultural business of the family. He takes care of a milk cow, produces cheese and sells on average 10 kg of this product locally. He also grows citrus and vegetables on a family owned 0.5 hectare plot of land. Harvested products are sold to local greengrocery retailers. The total average monthly income for the family is about 1,000 Laris.
Avtandil requested credit for the purchasing of new saplings of various fruit trees. He will plant them on his plot and after 3-5 years will get more harvest. Consequently, the income from fruit sales will increase and the family will be able to improve their living conditions.
