Batbayar, 44, sells coal in the street for use as fuel. She lives in the ger (a Mongolian traditional nomadic tent) district, with her family.
Batbayar has been running her business since 2010, and has many permanent customers. She is taking a loan to purchase a motorcycle for her business. She will use it to carry her coal bags between her home and workplace, because her coal stall is located a little bit of a distance from her home. Just one bag weighs about 25-30 kilograms and this is a heavy weight for her to carry. As she said, if she could buy a motorcycle, her business would be easier to run and more efficient.
