Evelyn Del Pilar
Evelyn is an Education teacher; she works at this every morning but her interest in this work goes beyond the work day which is why she decided to open a small business where she sells books, pamphlets, “Coquitos” [series of children’s literature] which are used to advance the education of Peruvian children and adolescents. She learned this business because when the school term started she noticed the need parents had so she decided to go into this business and she’s very happy with the results she’s obtained.

Evelyn is someone who very much enjoys “Pollo a la Brasa,” a popular dish in Perú that’s consumed usually on weekends as an evening snack.

Evelyn has been in this line of work for 12 years and tends to about 20 customers daily which means an income of about 30 soles approximately.

With help from Kiva lenders Evelyn will be able to buy more books and Coquitos which are the elements she currently needs to sell during the school term. This support will help her continue getting ahead and continuously improve her quality of life.

Evelyn es profesora de educación, ella se dedica a esta labor todas las mañanas. Su interés en esta labor traspasa sus horarios educativos, es por eso que decidió abrir un pequeño negocio, en donde se dedica a la venta de libros, folletos, coquitos, los mismos que son empleados en el avance educativo de los niños y adolescentes peruanos. Aprendió de este negocio debido a que cuando inicia el periodo escolar, detectaba la necesidad que tenian los padres de familia, es por esto que decidió incursioonar en este negocio y esta muy feliz por los resultados obtenidos.

Evelyn es una mujer que disfruta mucho del “Pollo a la brasa”, plato popular en el Perú, es consumido usualmente los fines de semana como un aperitivo en las noches. Actualmente Evelyn se dedica a esta labor aproximadamente desde hace 12 años y atiende en promedio a 20 clientes diarios, lo que le permite tener un ingresos de S/.30.00 aproximadamente.

Con ayuda de los prestatarios Kiva, Evelyn podrá comprar más libros y coquitos, que son actualmente los elementos que necesita para vender por temporada escolar, este apoyo la ayudará a continuar saliendo adelante y mejorar continuamente su calidad de vida.
