Noah is a farmer in Litein South Rift, Kenya. He is aged thirty-five and married with four children aged between eight and two. He has been in farming for 10 years and currently sells his produce of milk and tea to the local market. He gets additional income from a local tea factory where he works as a casual laborer.
Noah has requested a loan of 50,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to buy an additional dairy cow for his dairy business. He says he wants to add another dairy cow to enable him enjoy economies of scale. He adds he will use the income to expand his farming business and improve his family's living standards.
