Señora Blanca is 51 years old. She is a widow and has three children. She has worked all her life selling seafood, dried as well as fresh. She learned this business from her parents, who taught her since she was a little one how to work with seafood. She buys the seafood wholesale from the local fishermen.
The loan that she is requesting from Fundación Campo will be used to buy fresh fish, clean them, and dry them to sell during Holy Week. She wants to take advantage of this time, since the price of fish is low and she can buy a larger quantity of fish. If she has greater sales, she will have more income, which will allow her to cover the family expenses and have a steady business.
Blanca hopes that with her work and the help of Fundación Campo, she can finish building her house, which is already 60% completed, so that she can move into her own house, since she now lives with a relative.
