Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Rudy's story

Rudy is a 31-year-old man and is married to Emilia, a 31-year-old lady. They have been blessed with a daughter namely Putri, a 6-year-old little girl, attending kindergarten.

Rudy has been running a repair shop business for 6 months. Prior to running the business, Rudy used to work at a cooperative as an accounting staff member. After he had a terrible motorcycle accident last year, Rudy resigned from his job. After recovery, Rudy decided to initiate a repair shop business at home by using his own small capital. Day after day, Rudy gets customers so he can cover his family’s living expenses.

Recently, some customers asked Rudy to re-paint their car; Rudy thinks this is a good chance to earn more money. Unfortunately, he does not have enough money to do this. He would like to buy some materials and equipment such paint, sandpaper, thinner and putty. Therefore, he is requesting a loan amounting to IDR 6,000,000 from TLM. Rudy hopes that he will get the loan as soon as possible.
