Ali is a 51-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and two children who are still attending school. He’s the main income provider in his family and the one covering his children’s educational fees.
Ali decided to start doing bodywork and painting for cars in 2007 and has more than twenty years of experience in this domain. In parallel, he works as a taxi driver. Today, he needs to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase added equipment and painting tools for his garage. This Kiva loan will certainly develop his business and help him attract new customers. In the future, he plans to take more Kiva loans and improve his garage.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
