Balqees' Group
In this Group: Balqees, Shokat, Zohra, Nusrat, Kishwer
My name is Balqees BibiI, the group leader. I am a widow from Lahore, the second largest city in Pakistan. I have five children. After my husband’s death, my sons undertook the responsibility to earn money for the family. They manufacture iron gates and therefore need a loan to buy iron in bulk.

The other women in my group would like a loan for the following uses; Shokat B. will buy wood , Zohra B. also needs to buy iron in bulk, Nusrat is borrowing money so her husband can buy a rickshaw and Kishwer B. would like to purchase a sewing machine.

I have known these women for many years and completely trust them. A small loan can bring big changes to our lives.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
