Olga es una persona que ha tenido que atravesar por muchas adversidades en su vida, sin embargo las ganas de salir adelante le han permitido superarlas y continuar progresando en vida. Olga es una madre soltera cabeza de familia de una hija de 15 años, a quien su padre nunca quiso reconocer, por lo que a Olga le tocó buscarse por sus propios medios los ingresos necesarios para el sustento para su hija. Olga aprendió empíricamente la actividad de la venta de mercancía especialmente prendas de vestir, y gracias a esto ha podido generar los ingresos para su hogar y garantizarle a su hija las necesidades básicas. Gracias a su buen servicio, ha captado muchos clientes de su municipio, y esto ha hecho que sus ventas sean muy buenas y cada vez vayan creciendo más. Debido a que un cliente le ha hecho un gran pedido, y Olga no cuenta con el capital suficiente para hacer la compra a sus proveedores, Olga tiene la esperanza en que un préstamo le brinde la posibilidad de acceder a la compra de prendas de vestir con el ánimo de responder a un gran pedido que le ha hecho un cliente.

This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
