The couple jointy ensure that the diverse family expenses are covered. To do so, Nicole has been selling fruit for about six years at a market in Benin.

Seeking to satisfy her customers and to increase her sales and her income, Nicole along with the other members of the group GBENAGNON are requesting a fourth loan from ALIDé. The first three loans were indeed repaid.

Le groupe GBENAGNON est composé de quatre personnes qui résident dans le même quartier. C'est la quatrième fois que ce groupe sollicite l'aide financier de ALIDé, afin d'élever le niveau de son activité. La représentante du groupe, du nom de Nicole est celle qui a la main levée sur la photo. Nicole est âgée de 32 ans et vit au Bénin. Nicole n’a pas fréquenté l’école. Nicole est mariée à un tailleur du nom de Laurent. Le couple a deux enfants tous scolarisés et à leur charge. Nicole vit ensemble avec son mari et ses enfants. Le couple assure ensemble les divers besoins de la maison. Afin d'assurer les diverses charges de la famille, Nicole vend depuis dix ans environs, des fruits dans un marché du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et pour accroître son chiffre d’affaires et son revenu, Nicole sollicite ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe GBENAGNON, un quatrième crédit auprès de ALIDé. Les trois premiers prêts ont été bien remboursés.

About Alidé

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients. This is a Group Loan
