Susan is married and has three children ranging from one to 10 years old. She describes herself as a humble and organized woman. For the last four years, she has been selling vegetables and fruits such as oranges, bananas, pumpkins, watermelon, mangoes, onions, potatoes, kale, cabbages etc to local residents. She describes her business challenge to be the high cost of vegetables and fruits. She plans to use the loan of KES 20,000 to buy more fruits and vegetables. In the next five years, Susan's hope is to have diversified her business.
