Shadi is a 31-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and two school-aged children. He strives to work hard in order to pay his children’s study fees.
In 2006, he opened his own restaurant where people can meet and have a good time. His business has grown fast and he is looking forward to further expanding his business.
Today, he’s requesting to borrow $1700 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase products such as soft drinks, food and many other items. He notes that this will help him attract more customers and therefore increase his revenue. In the future, he plans to diversify his products by adding seafood to his menu.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
