Lina is a 41-year-old Lebanese married woman living with her husband and five children. Four of them are working and the other one is still attending school. They all cooperate together to enrich their life and live properly.
Lina started her own home business as a tailor in the year 2000. Today, she needs to borrow $2100 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase added materials such as textiles for her business. She’s sure that this loan will boost her productivity therefore her sales and thus her revenues. In the future, she plans to open her own evening dress shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
