In order to begin making her own line of clothing, Luz Marina wants to buy supplies such as fabrics and thread. But she does not have enough capital for the purchase and is hoping to receive a loan to buy the materials she needs to begin sewing her own line of products.

Her dream is to have her own clothing line soon and generate employment for people in need of work. She also wants her children to have a better lifestyle and not suffer the hardships she and her husband have gone through.

Luz Marina desde pequeña se ha sentido atraída por la actividad de la confección, es por esto que desde muy temprana edad se empezó a capacitar en cursos de confección y aprendió la actividad rápidamente.
Luz Marina, con 56 años de edad, se encuentra casada y es madre de 2 hijos, los cuales dice son la motivación para trabajar fuertemente todos los días. Al ver que con los ingresos de su esposo, no era suficiente para cubrir todos los gastos del hogar a cabalidad, Luz Marina decidió montar su taller de confección, y su esposo le regaló una máquina fileteadora y una máquina plana. Actualmente Luz Marina sigue desempeñándose en la misma actividad de la confección, y sus productos son muy reconocidos por ser de muy buena calidad.
Con el ánimo de empezar a sacar su propia línea de prendas de vestir, Luz Marina quiere comprar insumos para confeccionarla como es las telas y los hilos, sin embargo, actualmente no cuenta con el capital suficiente para realizar esta compra, por lo que tiene la esperanza en que un préstamo le brindará la posibilidad de acceder a la compra de telas e hilos para iniciar la confección de su propia línea de ropa.

Luz Marina sueña con sacar su propia línea de ropa muy pronto para poder generar empleo para las personas más necesitadas. Además sueña con que sus hijos puedan tener una mejor calidad de vida, y no tengan que pasar por tantas adversidades en la vida como las han pasado ella y su esposo.

This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
