Wasef is a married 39-year-old Lebanese man who lives with his wife and three children, who are all studying. He’s the one responsible for his family and is seeking to provide them a good future. He has owned a services office since 2006. His job consists of providing housekeepers upon request. Today, he’s asking for a loan of $2,200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to renovate his office’s interior design. He notes that he will be capable of receiving his customers in a wide and good place. In the future, he plans to open other branches in different areas.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
