His father is the main income provider in the family and their only support. For this reason, Youssef decided to start his own business, hoping to take some of the responsibility off of his father.
So, after being involved in the barbering business for 10 years, Youssef opened his own salon in 2009. Now he’s looking to expand his business further.
Today, he’s requesting a youth loan of $1300 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l, in order to change his salon’s interior design. He notes that this may help him attract more customers and therefore increase his revenues.
In the future, he plans to enlarge his salon and hire people to work with him.
