Samoun, 42, is married and resides with her husband and three children in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. She has been growing rice for over ten years, has extensive experience, and is successful in her career. Her husband is a construction worker. Two of her children are employed at a garment factory.
In order to improve her family’s economy, Samoun is requesting a loan of USD 1,000 to purchase pigs to breed in order to sell for a profitable price at the market. By doing so, she would be able to generate extra profit to support her family. In the future, she would like to purchase piglets to breed in order to sell when they gain weight. Moreover, she plans to expand her house with an upper floor and send her children to a good school.
