Razak has operated a fruit and vegetable cart in Harlem, New York for the past two years. Razak is hardworking and determined to build his business and help his family. He even works a second job on the weekends at a Brooklyn diner. Razak’s goal is to continue saving money so that he and his wife can eventually upgrade to an actual food truck of their own where they can cook their native Middle Eastern cuisine and share it with the rest of Harlem. For now, Razak needs to fix his current food cart because it is falling apart and is too old for repairs. Razak, as an immigrant entrepreneur, had never taken out credit in the United States and therefore was unable to secure financing from a traditional lender. Receiving a loan will help Razak purchase a new fruit cart.
