Bint Ndawa is a married woman with nine children, two of whom still attend school. She owns a house that neither has electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For the past ten years, she has operated a mat-weaving business, selling from door-to-door to town dwellers and neighbours. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her business. She dreams of expanding her business.
With the Kshs 20,000 she wants to purchase bamboo slivers as materials for weaving mats. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
