Milly lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married and has four children, all of whom go to school. She has two additional family members (her late sister’s children).
She sells local brew (local gin) on a retail basis from a shop that she rents. She has been in this business for six years. She works seven days a week.
She has requested a loan of 600,000 UGX from MCDT SACCO to buy more jerrycans of local gin and glasses. Milly generates additional income through selling tomatoes and onions. Her major business challenges are transportation, defaulters, and thieves.
Her aspirations and goals are to own a fully stocked pub and build a house. She lives in a rented house and the family does not have access to electricity and piped water. Her major monthly expenses include school fees.
