Mr. Soun is in the business of selling firewood and lives in the Baray district. He is married with 2 children, one of whom is already married and no longer lives with the family. Besides selling firewood, Soun usually works alongside his wife to manage farming projects, especially in the rainy season.
This is Soun's first loan from HKL and Kiva. The purpose of the loan is to buy an additional buffalo to haul his firewood trailer. Soun feels very happy and thankful to the lenders who share their funds to help his family. He hopes that he’ll be to sustain his livelihood and improve his present business someday using the loan from Kiva.
