Modesto, age 28, is married and has three children, ages five, six, and nine. He lives in the Santa Catarina Village in Intibucá.

Modesto is a farmer; he worked with his family ever since he was very young. Eight years ago he managed to establish his own parcel of land where he grows potatoes. He lives in an area that is suitable for farming, in this case growing potatoes. He spends the greatest part of his time doing this, and his wife supports him. He sells his production at the local market.

This is the first loan he has requested. He will use it to buy fertilizers and supplies for planting potatoes. He will also use it for technical assistance in order to improve the level of production.

His goal is to get good income in order to cover the food expenses, pay for his children’s education, and to improve his house.

Modesto es una persona dedicada a la agricultura, desde muy pequeño ha trabajado con su familia, hace 8 años ha logrado establecer su propia parcela donde produce papas. Donde el vive es una zona apta para la agricultura, en este caso de papa. Le dedica la mayor parte de su tiempo y le apoya su esposa. Esta producción la vende en el mercado local.
Es su primer préstamo que solicita y lo va invertir en fertilizantes e insumos para la siembra de papas y asistencia técnica, con el propósito de mejorar el nivel de producción.
Su meta es obtener buenos ingresos para cubrir gastos de alimentación y de educación a sus hijos y mejorar su vivienda.
