Clara makes bags of food, with many different meals, and then she sells them for biweekly payments according to the days of most companies' payroll days. People make credit purchases and then pay her in one or two payments during a month. With this loan, she is planning to buy ingredients for different meals to prepare the food packages.
This is Clara's twelfth loan. She has been taking out loans for about eight years and has successfully repaid all her previous loans. She started her business after she took out her first Esperanza loan. With her business and the loans, she has increased her income and capital to improve her business and her life.
She is a divorced mother with two children. She cares for and works for their needs. Clara's dream is to continue improving her business. She is planning to reinvest her profits in the business and save. She thanks all of you for your support!!
This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
