Saada is a 54-years-old Lebanese married woman living with her husband and four children. One of them is studying while the others are working. They are a united family seeking to enhance their way of living.
Saada started her own home business as tailor. She also visits her customers at their homes in order to respond rapidly to their demands. As for her husband, he has been working as taxi driver.
Today, she’s requesting to borrow $900 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase new textiles designs for her business. In that way, she will be following all styles and also increasing her revenues. In the future, she plans to open her own tailoring shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
