A loan of $975 helped to buy a sewing machine.

Bourama's story

Mr. Bourama is thirty-seven years old, married, and father of four children. He lives in a traditional family with other households in Ségou.
Not having attended school for social reasons, he began his sewing training early with an uncle. After several years spent at his sides, he finished by opening his studio. He has run this business for fifteen years. The strength of his sales is due to the genius of his products, known by all in Ségou. The difference between him and others is linked to his sense of creativity.
He enjoys a clientele composed of women and men.
In the intent of increasing his turnover, he is asking for this new loan. He has been in relation with Soro Yiriwaso for twelve months, after one individual loan correctly repaid. He is at his second individual loan, which he intends to use to purchase one sewing machine for thick wire. He stocks up in the area. Monsieur Bourama does his transactions in cash and sometimes on credit. With this loan he imagines making a monthly profit of 100,000FCFA. This profit will allow him to make his repayments to Soro Yiriwaso and to settle his operating expenses. His ambition is to increase his business activities and to take up some other activities.
