A loan of $2,150 helped to purchase livestock.

Jamal's story

Jamal is 56 years old, a widow, who raised five children. She started her animal husbandry business 20 years old. The business, started with an initial sum of 1,000 som (KGS), today yields about 6,000 som (KGS) per month from sales of milk and meat products. Currently, Jamal's family works on 2 hectares of irrigated land, where they grow potatoes. In order to further increase livestock headcount, Jamal requested a loan in the sum of 100,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to purchase bulls and sheep. She plans to invest the profits from the loan into further increasing quantities of domestic livestock and purchasing a car for her family in the near future.
