Nubia Carina
Nubia Carina is single, and lives with her family, which includes her mother, 2 brothers and 3 young nephews. She has worked as a cashier in the El Verdugo store for a year. She is requesting her 4th loan, with the goal of buying wires and other accessories that will be used to install an electrical system in her home. A few days ago her electrical system short-circuited, and she's been told that it is not good and she needs to replace it. It is worth mentioning that Nubia previously took a Kiva loan, but that one was invested in the small business that she has with her sister selling used clothing.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
